Looking to finally pull the trigger on a new PC build. Been a bit over 4 years since my last one.
Things I'm planning to do:
-Gaming--I typically play games that aren't too graphically intensive (mostly Dota 2), but I do plan on playing some Evolve and Star Citizen
-Streaming--I'd like to get back into livestreaming and my current rig has difficulty doing so
-Multiple monitors--At minimum two; preferred three. I use two currently.
I'm not too worried about OCing at the onset as I don't have a lot of background in it, but I'd like to keep it an option going forward.
What I'm building around:
CPU: i7 4790k
Components on current build available for use:
RAM: G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
HDD: Western Digital Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
PSU: CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650W
I am also interested in a new monitor. I currently have two different monitors (both ASUS, but different models) and it leads to occasional graphics issues. Would like to avoid that in the future where possible.
Budget: $1500-$2000
If you have advice on mechanical keyboards, I'll take that as well. Brown switches, most likely.
Thanks in advance!
