Lenovo adapter light blinks only when connected to laptop and no powering

Lenovo adapter's light is normal when not connected to laptop but when connected it is blinking and no charging is happening.

First guess, the adapter is bad. Second, maybe the battery is bad or the plug is bad on the laptop. Test the laptop with another adapter, test your adapter with another laptop.
