Question Lenovo b50-30 80ES screen issue

Hi, I have a strange issue with a Lenovo b50-30. It was a little slow and a few keys didn't work.

I removed the harddrive a copy the files over to another PC. Removed the keyboard to see the model number, put everything back together. I have a feeling I'm not the first person to take this laptop apart as it's missing a couple of screws.

Now the backlight only works while the charger isn't connected. When I connect the charger the backlight goes off, disconnect the charger backlight comes back on.

Any ideas?

Was it working before you remoted the drive and keyboard? If so, go through it and make sure all the connections are in properly. Don't think I ever seen an issue like this with the backlight shutting off on wall power only.

I tried all the connections. All seem to be well connected.

Strange thing is that is that sometimes its fine...
