Hello,

I have a Lenovo B50-70 and there is no output through the audio 3.5mm audio jack. There is audio fine through the speakers.

Specs:
intel i5-4210U 1.7Ghz
4GB mem
running windows 10 64bit

Steps taken:
I have made sure that disabled devices are visible.
I have rolled back the driver.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the realtek HD audio driver.
I have uninstalled the realtek driver and installed the driver of the lenovo website.

After rolling back the driver in the playback devices the option for headphones appeared however did not recognize when headphones plugged in (checked the headphones are fully functional) at this point I am thinking a dodgy jack.

Any ideas would be helpful

1| Can you please state the audio equipment you sued to verify that it's not being recognized on your laptop?

2| Have you tried using another headset to rule out that the 3.5mm jack isn't standard for the previous one?

3| Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date?

4| You can try and run the installer in an elevated command;
Right click installer>Run as Administrator
or in compatibility mode:
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility>Windows X from drop down menu.

5| Last effort would be to try and perform a repair install or a re-installation of your OS(after you've recreated the bootable USB installer).

The disclosure here is that a lot of users on system's powered by Realtek audio chips have been hardest hit since the driver refuses to communicate with the OS and the device. People have either resorted to USB driven sound card/headsets or buying a discrete sound card.
