Hi guys. I have a Lenovo B570 and everytime I try to boot it gives me the blue screen and dumping the memory. I have tried replacing the memory, using the windows memory test and nothing has worked. I have tried google and havn't come up with much. Is this a hard drive problem? Or something else? Please help!

Has the harddrive/laptop been dropped or struck with anything/anything dropped on it?

What about before, when it used to boot? Would the laptop do something weird before finally giving the blue screen and restarting?

It's difficult to tell for me. You could reformatting it, or installing a new harddrive. Although, with the latter, you won't be able to tell if it was definitely the old HDD that gave the problem, and not just software.

If you could write down the error codes, someone else might be able to help you identify what it is.

Someone else mind chipping in?

Have you tried booting in safe mode?

To have your computer pause at the blue screen: When your computer enters the BIOS, press the F8 key (might have to hit it repeatedly, just to be safe) then go down the list to where it says "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure." When the blue screen comes up the next time it won't reboot automatically and you should be able to write down the code on the screen.

Hi I'm not exactly sure what the error codes should look like but I'm guessing it's

*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xFFFFFA7E0DBDD10A, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF8800183F301, 0x0000000000000007)

*** fbfmon.sys - Address FFFFF8800183F301 base at FFFFF8800183A000, DateStamp 4cecddf1

I don't know if that helps but yea thats what i got!

hi there sorry for replying so late, i am 100 % sure that its due to memory in ur laptop the memory dump error is due to memory compatibility issue in some machines... if the problem is still there replace your memory ram..and it will be fine im sure..

I know the post is older, but for anyone searching for a solution:

i had the same prob, easily fixed as follows:

Booted with Ubuntu Live CD,
navigated to Windows/System32/drivers,
delete fbfmon.sys

(Win7, 64, Lenovo G770)
