Lenovo code 38

Lenovo g50-80 with win10 pre installed from Best Buy. Getting code 38 error with usb drives. Unit will detect usb devices but wont display them in file manager. Reboot required to fix problem. Lenovo has no support for this problem. Trying to determine if it's a Lenovo issue or win 10 problem.

Have you tried reinstalling your drivers on your laptop which are meant for Windows 10? Furthermore if you own an Nvidia GPU on your unit, try and download version 359.06 from here although it shows that your Lenovo's ship with AMD graphics chips.

There is no mention of error codes on your manual.
