Hi All!

I have a Lenovo D30. There is no native NVME support on the motherboard, thus I bought a NVME PCIe card and M2 SSD. I cannot boot from this directly, because BOIS does not see it, so I am looking for an alternative solution for this issue. My current windows 10 on sata ssd detected and sees the M2 drive in windows, but the BIOS does not, thus I cannot set the M2 as boot drive. Does anybody know what should I do to solve the problem?

Thank you.

Solution
That's not true, there are solutions for that :)
Just yesterday solved the same problem with HP z600 and PCIe nvme card.
I had no problems with installing linux on the nvme and the grub on another disk (usb flash/hdd) and then boot successfully and start the linux os.
The problem was installing the windows 10 on the nvme as it just refused doing that with warning that the bios cannot boot from that device.
Solution: Install DUET (with refind) on USB drive, boot from it, win 10 will install and then boot successfully using nvme :)
