Question lenovo e431 power issues: black screen no boot. i do a power drain, then it starts. i reboot, it does it again. what needs to be fixed?

hello. i have a lenovo e431 that will not start unless i disconnect the battery and perform a power drain. on other units, that's all that needs to be done and they work, but on this one, once i restart, it goes right back to not booting, black screen and no beeps. i've also let the battery run out naturally and once i hook up the a/c, it'll boot once, but the minute i reboot, it goes right back to a black screen & no beeps. is it the battery? the MB battery? what needs to be replaced?

hello again, i just spoke with the client and they say they've already changed the battery and it didn't help. what could be causing the need to power drain in order to boot?

Probably a bad motherboard on the system.
