I dont think this is where i should post this, but i dont think any of the other categories available suite this question either.
I have a lenovo g50-45 that came preinstalled with windows 8, everything was working perfectly. Then one day the wifi stopped working. I dont know why. i dont see any switches on the laptop to disable or enable the wireless card. and when i look in adapter settings the wireless connection isnt there at all.
Furthermore the wireless adapter does not show up in the device manager any longer either.
I have tried removing the card physically and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. I also checked in the bios, and the adapter is enabled. I restored the default settings anyway just incase but to no avail.
What is interesting to me is that the card is a bluetooh wifi combo. It handles both the wireless and bluetooth connections, and while the wireless connection is no where to be found the bluetooth is available and ready and works for that matter. Im becoming aggravated, just short of installing the OS again. But before i attempt that does anyone know of a solution? something i havent tried or something i over looked?
Im about to partition the drive and do a fresh install and see if the adapter works then.

Just an update, I did a fresh installation of windows 7. The wireless adapter still is not recognized. It does not appear anywhere in device manager. Ive never had a wireless card burn out on me, but i suppose this one might be faulty.

Just an update, i nuked the wireless/bluetooth card with a heat gun and now the wireless adapter appears in the device manager.
Guess the card is faulty. Though, i think i cooked it too long, because it still fails to start. haha.
