Currently running single 4Gb 1066MHz module, bought Hyper X 2x4Gb 1600MHz kit, but when I set it up, Win 7 (64bit) doesn't boot up. Any ideas how to get it running? Is there problem in frequency difference?

Solution
Wow that is odd. I'm guessing your RAM is either bad (not always the case) or the RAM isn't compatible with your system (most likely).

Here is what Lenovo lists for RAM types (of coarse their branded RAM, but good for reference):
Choice of available Lenovo 1GB, 2GB and 4GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM memories:
Lenovo 1GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM memory (78Y7383)
Lenovo 1GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM memory - Japan (78Y7384)
Lenovo 2GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM memory (78Y7392)
Lenovo 4GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM memory (78Y7385)
Lenovo 4GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM memory - Japan (78Y7386)
Lower 1.5V power consumption, compared to older 1.8V DDR2 memory, extends battery life
Improved system-level thermal management that further reduces power drain
Test-proven 100% compatibility listed for...
Shouldn't be a frequency issue, it'll just run the RAM at the stock speed of the laptop (probably 1066 or maybe even 1333 Mhz). My guess is that you might have a bad stick, so try just one module at first and see if that allows you to boot up, if not try the other stick. It is also possible that the RAM isn't compatible with the laptop (not likely, but possible). Also if neither stick works, put the original RAM stick back by itself and see if the laptop works normally.

Default memory works fine as I'm curently running on it. Tried booting with both sticks seperately, result was always the same - motherboard load; question if i want to run windows normaly or with file check, windows starts loading; blue screen saying there might be problem with new hardware or software. So I'm thinking, and this is a longshot in the dark, that drivers don't get (down)loaded. And if i plug both stick and try to start it, it just resets every time windows loading screen should appear. Also, can't get into advanced settings in BIOS to mess a bit with setting there.
Any other idea i might try or should I just leave it to professionals?
And thanks for the fast answer

Nope, neither of the new sticks work in neither of slots.

CAS Latency: 9
Capacity: 1 GB / 2 GB / 4GB
Form Factor: SODIMM
Memory speed: 1333Mbps (667MHz)
Number of Pins: 204
Parity: Non-Parity
Pin Alloy: Cu/Ni/Au
RAM type: DDR3 SDRAM

So if it is 1.5v and up to 1333 Mhz (your 1600 Mhz should just go down to 1333 Mhz without issues) you should be fine. If you can give me the Model of RAM that you have, maybe we can see more details on the RAM that you bought.

So the model is Kingston HyperX Impact DDR3L 1600Mhz CL9 SODIMM (2x4Gb kit). Hope it helps
