Question Lenovo g580 cpu upgrade

Sorry for bother you guy, i have a question! I'm using lenovo g580 model, i5 3210qm, intel hd 4000, i can't check motherboard infor bc it show "invalid" in cpu-z! Now I plan to upgrade cpu to use egpu for gaming! I want the best cpu for this laptop as possible so i choose i7 3840qm! Can i be able to upgrade it? The tdp on i5 is 35w and i7 is 45! I know about heat problems but i still want to know if i can do it! And talk about temperature, how bad it can be? Please answer and appreciate

Scince you are using a laptop replacing the CPU is almost impossible..

Theoretically it is possible to do so but you would have to openup your whole laptop and maybe you won't even be able to take out the old CPU.

I wouldn't take the risk if I were you.

The i5 3210qm is removable (PGA fitting) but you'll need to contact Lenovo for information on which CPU models are supported by the motherboard's BIOS. As it's an OEM motherboard and not a retail desktop motherboard, that information is not readily available online.
From what i find, this laptop supports i7 3612qm! I wonder if i can put it in(i7 3840)! After all! I7 3840qm is same generation, socket with i5 3210m
