Lenovo hard disk locked

my lenovo laptop has been hard disk locked. is there anyway to bypass it? i mean i know that if its the hard disk that has been locked and if theres no way you can retrieve your files because you will be mainly needing to reformat it. once i open my laptop it gives me a blue screen which says hard disk lock enter password and we cant put up any.. i was just thinking if theres any other way i can do that can restore my files..
