I slammed my Lenovo laptop lid shut (I know... I know... I should go to anger management therapy :-D ), and now when I try to turn it on, it keeps rebooting

It gets to the Lenovo screen then says "Checking media" (repeat forever). It then takes me to a screen that says "Default Boot device missing or boot failed. Insert recovery Media and hit any key. Then select Boot Manager to choose a new Boot Device or to Boot Recovery Media

But in the Boot Option Menu my only choice is EFI PXE Network (I can't seem to get it to recognize a CD or USB boot disc)

I can use the paperclip to get to the Boot menu, but Boot Menu takes me to the message above (only having EFI PXE) and the System Recovery partition is busted as well

I've opened up the inside and nothing appears obviously wrong though I'm not 100% sure what I'd be looking for

It sounds like a broken hard drive to me (which would be consistent with slamming the laptop lid Im sure).

I've opened up the inside and nothing appears obviously wrong though I'm not 100% sure what I'd be looking for. If that's the case, is there anything left to do?

Solution
You may have bounced your HDD and now is not being detcted, hence it trying to boot off the network card.

CAn you hear the HDD spin up and cables corrected, of course a SSD will be silent, but it may not be making a clean connection to the pins.
