ok i want to upgrade my lenovo ideapad 330 ram from 4gb to 8gb

Ok so its in the laptop i checked on windows 10 system settings and on task manager and it does say that i have 8gb ram but now when i play fortnite my game is stuttering more than before and its lagging more can someone pls help me fix this issue

So ive upgraded my system memory and fortnite is now unplayable it had major stuttering issues how is that even possible
