I needed to replace the SSD on my Lenovo Ideapad C340-14API (Ryzen 5) laptop, as the old SSD was no longer detected (I was getting a "no boot device detected" error, and when booting to Ubuntu using a USB stick Ubuntu didn't detect the SSD either).
After installing the new SSD the laptop powers up (I can hear the fans, and the LED on the power button is lit), but the display is blank. I can't even get to the Lenovo logo. I've pressed and held the power button for 20 seconds to power it off, then tried pressing F2 when powering back up to get to the BIOS, but the display remains completely blank - still not even the Lenovo logo.
Any ideas?
