Question Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15 ram upgrade compatibility

Your laptop has two slots for memory, per these links;

With that, I'd ask you to invest into a 2x8GB DDR4-3200MHz ram kit, if you're working with a single stick of ram.

We all understand the concern with your budget but please try and understand that ram upgrades are like buying shoes, you might lose one shoe out of a pair outside but when you go to buy the same shoe from the store, they won't sell one out of the pair, similarly your platform will benefit from having two identical rams running in dual channel mode, as opposed to running a lopsided ram setup.

Note, please update your BIOS if you have any pending prior to doing a ram upgrade.

hey,thanks for replying.I would like to know if i be able to pair identical ram(like the GB and speeds) but different brand and still benefit from dual channel mode?
