Hi.

I'm planning to buy IdeaPad Y510p, which has 1tb 5400rpm hdd and 24gb NGFF ssd (for hdd cache). Because this hdd is slow i can see two options:

1. Replace the hdd with 500gb Sata ssd and format the 24gb NGFF ssd for extra storage.
2. Replace the 24gb NGFF ssd with 250gb mSata ssd (for OS and some programs) and leave the hdd as storage drive for files.

For 500gb Sata ssd I was looking this:
http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/memory-storage/solid-state-drive/ssd-840-evo/MZ-7TE500BW

For 250gb mSata ssd I was looking this:

What would be better solution in performance wise?

Thanks.

Solution
NGFF is not mSATA. Its also known as the M.2 form factor and offers better performance over mSata.
Either option is viable but replacing the HDD with an SSD may be the most cost effective.
