I'm hoping for a bit of buying advice on a laptop. I've found a Lenovo L340-15IRH with what seems like a great spec for sub £600. My question is whether I'm missing something or whether I should be looking at another brand/site for buying a computer. It's also 4-5 weeks shipping which isnt ideal but if it's as good value as it seems I can wait.

It needs to be able to handle some light gaming, and 3D modelling software like CAD.

Spec is:
  • Processor : Intel Core i5-9300H Processor (2.40GHz, up to 4.10GHz with Turbo Boost, 4 Cores, 8MB Cache)
  • Operating System : Windows 10 Home 64
  • Preload Language : Windows 10 Home 64 English
  • Microsoft Office : Microsoft Office Trial
  • Selectable Memory : 16GB DDR4 2400MHz SoDIMM
  • First Hard Drive : None
  • Second Hard Drive : 256GB Solid State Drive,M.2 2242, NVMe,TLC
  • Display : 15.6" FHD (1920x1080), IPS, 250nits, Anti-glare, No touch
  • Graphic Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 3GB GDDR5
  • Color : Black
  • Camera : 720P HD Camera with Dual Mic
  • Keyboard : Keyboard Grey English (UK)
  • Chipset : HM370
  • Battery : 3 Cell Li-Polymer Internal Battery, 45Wh
  • Power Adapter : 135W AC Adapter (3pin)-UK
  • WiFi Wireless LAN Adapters : Wireless 1x1 AC, Bluetooth Version 4.1 or above
  • Language Pack : Publication-English
  • Warranty : 1 Year Depot or Carry-in

In my experience I've found Lenovo to be unreliable. For example my laptop that I bought for work was a Lenovo Yoga 900 (or something like that) the laptop had wide range of issues like network drivers not working, quick battery life drain etc. I would recommend anything but Lenovo. I'll post some of my suggestions soon

Right specs, wrong brand.
I used to have two Lenovo laptops before.
Lenovo E570
IdeaPad 130 15IKB
Both had heating issues, horrible keyboards, unusable trackpads, yada yada yada.
Have decided not to buy Lenovo from the day I sold them.
A nice gaming PC and an ultrabook is the best combination.
