[SOLVED] Lenovo M92p dual channel RAM won't work

Hello,
I've upgraded my Lenovo ThinkCentre M92p with another memory module. Previous it had 8, now double that.
The memory itself is not exactly the same, the difference is in the voltage. I've had 1.35V inside, new module is 1,5V.
Dual channel won't work, it beeps and it doesn't boot.
Single channel works fine.
Memory tested with Windows Memory Diagnostic, no errors. PC has latest BIOS.

Any ideas?

What's the difference performance-wise between single and dual channel? A few percent?

The two different speeds and different voltages will do that. But having more ram will be more noticeable than dual channel so I wouldn't sweat it. Keep your eyes out for an identical piece of either and you can swap one of them out and run dual later.

Actually inside is i7 3770, perfectly fine CPU even after 8 years. I see no reason to upgrade to newer system whatsoever.

If you have the ability to upgrade to 32gb, just keep your eyes open for a deal on a 32gb kit and then you can have a matched pair and more memory.
