I searched the forum but I did not see anything about this, I have a Lenovo m92p PC and was thinking of replacing the PSU. Th PSU in there now is 280w factory but the pin out is a 14 pin which is not very common. I want to add gfx card and was looking to upgrade the PSU.

Currently have a 500gb, and a 3tb HD in there plus 16gb ram.
This computer was given to me and I have other PCs but just wanted to upgrade this one.

I have seen this which I'm not too sure about using, what do you guys think?

IBM Lenovo PSU Main Power 24-Pin to 14-Pin Adapter Cable

Thanks in advance.

Any video card that will fit in a standard M92p chassis will be low-profile and won't require additional power. I think the biggest processor they put in those is 77W, so that 280W should have a lot to spare.

As for the adaptor, that seems to be what it was designed for. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Gotcha, I hate buying stuff from Hong Kong LOL.

I was looking at maybe a riser and a better gpu but im still looking at options not sure yet, but if you think that a lower end gpu will be just fine I might just go that route and save some money as this is just a extra PC.
