Lenovo T500 changing CPU

Hi again,I have a Lenovot T500 laptop,and I wanna change the CPU to an I3,is that possible?if it isn't,then recommend me the best CPU for this laptop,waiting for response

I think the best CPU for that socket is Core 2 Duo T9400

Hello.

The best CPU for a T500 is the T9900.
It won't accept any of the Core i-series CPUs (i3, i5, etc)
A T500 with a T9900 CPU is a really good laptop.

Why are you willing to upgrade? Poor performance in games? Slow bootup speeds? The GPU cannot be changed, so game performance cannot be upgraded.

AS for boot times, upgrading to an SSD will give extremely better performance.

looks like lenovo has instructions. not sure if you would need to replace with the same one though.

i dont think any i3 will fit in there.

best advice is to buy a new laptop. laptops (besides for ram/storage) are not meant to be upgraded generally

To be honest, yes, it is not worth it. Any gains by changing a CPU will be at best 5-10%.

What is your reason for upgrading it?

Okay. As I specified earlier, your CPU is good enough for games. The issue lies with the GPU, and it cannot be replaced. You will need another laptop or desktop if you want better quality in games.
