lenovo thinkpad wont turn on

i shut my computer down accidentally while updating to the latest windows, now when i turn it on it makes a clicking noise and then sends me to a screen called BIOS setup utility which i have no idea what it is.

Software updates such as updating to the latest Windows doesn't cause a clicking noise, even when canceling the update. The noise may have been caused by physical damage, thus preventing the computer from turning on.

Has the computer made this sound before? Have you dropped it or caused any damage to it? Does the sound happen every time you turn on the computer?

The very first thing you could try is at least setting the BIOS to defaults. While on that utility screen you see, look for an option to set options to defaults, and then save and restart the computer.

also, if you could provide the specs of the PC that would be helpful. If you're unsure, try to find your model online and link it.
