Question Lenovo Thinkstation P500 not going above 16GB of Ram

I recently got a Thinkstation P500 and it came with 16GB of Ram. I am trying to increase that to 32GB but for some reason it doesnt matter what RAM i use or what slots i out the ram into I cant get it to go above 16GB.

When I have got more then 16GB installed it doesnt boot or anything but when i take out a stick to get it back to 16GB or below it boots into BIOS or Windows no problem.

Anyone help??

exact model of the ram? are you mixing ram kit?

Just did that and no difference.

I am using DDR4 2133 8GB SK Hynix. All the same and still having the same issues

I believe so. Just checked yeah it is.

Also the other 2 sticks i bouhgt. If i take out the oriognal ones the P500 came with, it boots but when I put all the sticks in or enough sticks to go over the 16GB line it doesnt boot or even post

Somebody here had a load of issues with memory configurations that were eventually fixed by a new CPU.
