Hi,
I am new to this forum, however I have been using this site to find answers for a number of years.
My question is in relation to upgrading a non-touch screen lenovo u410 (i7-3517U, 8gb RAM) to a touch screen. I have recently noticed that Lenovo have upgraded the u410 to a touch screen type laptop.
I have checked my screen connector and its a 30pin one. I have seen on a recent advertisment on ebay of someone selling a touch screen of this model and it is also a 30pin.

Is it simply a matter of replacing the screen and installing drivers/bois update to make it compatible or am I completely looking in the wrong direction.
The reason I am wondering is that I was hoping to upgrade to touch and install android to dual boot with windows. I taught this would possibly be a more cost effective option to replace the screen rather than the laptop itself.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
