Hey Guys! i hope you can help me out with this.

I recently purchased a Lenovo V50T gen2. I tried to upgrade the GPU, but i wasnt succesful. The problem is, that what ever GPU i put in the PC, there is no output. nothing at all, no matter what kind of GPU i put in there. The only GPU that works is the Original AMD RX 550.

So i wanted to ask you guys, if there is any setting i missed in the UEFI or even if there is a Hardware lock by Lenovo which doesnt allows any other GPU. (i am aware of the fact that the PC doesnt provide any additional PCI E Power)

Here are some Infos about the machine:

-Lenovo V50T Gen2 MT

-SN: PC2FQA5L

It is not exactly a BIOS whitelist (that is, you don't need a particular Lenovo branded sku for a GPU) but yes, it's well known Lenovo desktops do limit booting in UEFI mode to only specified GPUs, which obviously must have been available at the time the BIOS was written. There is apparently a patch to mod some Lenovo BIOSes to enable a legacy CSM mode which will boot Windows 10, but that would technically preclude use in Windows 11.

A more elegant mod would be to request a custom BIOS in one of the bios-mod forums to either put your GPU in the list or remove the list entirely, but I'm not sure if anyone knows how to do that.

Hey guys i came to new concluisions but still face the same problems. i noticed, that the original RX 550 is a PCIe 8x GPU. If a put in a card with lower then 16x, the card works perfectly fine. In the BIOS even is 16x activated.
Do you guys have any ideas?
