I know that the i7-2960XM TDP of 55 is not supposed to be supported by the V507 J1 motherboard, but I do know that the i7-2820QM TDP of 45 will adjust with the J1 motherboard due to other users having great success after installing it, even though it is not recommended by the manufacturer.
My only question is if the two processors above are under the same microcode index, or will it have to be updated in the bios?
