Lenovo wont boot using USB

HDD on my Lenovo laptop stopped working, I think I must have accidentally added a user password and I cant remember, so I used my other pc to make a bootable USB drive that has a tool that I can get the the BIOS screen without inputting the password, however when I burn the .iso to the USB drive and put it in the Lenovo and boot from it, the pc restarts and goes to the same screen. I am using ISO to USB but when I select the Fat32 option for the format, it simply says that it cannot.

Use rufus to write iso on usb.

Ok, i'm writing it onto the usb but ill test and see if it works in the morning, thanks.

I writ it onto the usb but rufus found 166 bad blocks, does this mean I should try with another usb?
