Hello,
I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon, old but (it used to be) reliable laptop.
I use it as work laptop - it's dual boot with Windows and Linux Debian.
There were two major happenings that occured and I do not know what to do in order to solve those issues.
First of all, like I mentioned in the topic, my laptop does not recognise touchpad - at all.
In BIOS it is enabled, but none of two operating sytems does work.
I think this all started after I plugged USB mouse during Windows usage. From that point onwards I had problems with touchpad.
I tried to reinstall Debian, but during installation touchpad was not accesible.
I tried to update drivers under both OS and I did not suceed - none of operating systems see touchpad.
I updated BIOS and it still did not help.
I tried looking up drivers using available software and did not find success.
Somewhere around that time fingerprint reader went off.

Other issue might be related to ongoing bonanza, I dont know.
I did mess up and perfromed "import sys" in terminal instead of terminal running python under linux system.
Laptop froze and had to hard reboot it and issues commenced.
I only can turn on laptop by pressing power button for a couple of seconds.
It used to be way different, like I used to touch it and it would turn on.
Now I have to press it for a long while, if it's too short it would be stuck on black screen and not boot.
Then I have to turn it off by pressing power button for a couple of seconds and then again to turn it on.

I can perfrom shutdown normally under both systems.

I dont even know what to provide at this point. I tried many solutions, found no success.

Please help me, I would appreciate it very much.
Cheers,
Mike
