Got a Lenovo Y50 70 , i7 4710HQ , 16gigs ram , GTX 860m, Samsung 840 Evo SSD 250G 1080p non touch non IPS,
Recently purchased RE7 was playing alright on midium 60fps,, then stopped working for a reason,, it crashes when I start it,, the whole system freezes,, then happened with the rest of the games,, I had no time to diagnose the problem cause I work 12h a day but the compute performance didn't drop...Ran 2k video encoding and was pretty steady,,

Afterwards I dropped the computer, the plastic back plate was partially broken,, the charger's plug was hanging but still works, the computer started freezing on simple media playback , or even nothing after a few minutes, ran a hardware diag but all passed OK,, still freezes by itself.

CPU and GPU fans became way louder even on startup, go mad by the time I reach windows UI ,, checked the temp , 52 on the highest core and 43 on the GPU,,

Cleared the CMOS,, removed every part I can remove and put back....Same issue. I use my laptop for professional photo editing, web design and gaming.

Help appreciated, thank you .

Note: when it freezes and I force shut it down by pressing the on button , it makes a really weird buzz sound then a heavy crash sound when it's shut.

uhh, sounds like it was starting to break and than you broke it even more by dropping it.

There's not a lot you can do to fix or diagnose a laptop outside of software issues, but you could easily have plenty of hardware issues now.

Could be you got a virus. Sounds like it possibly may have been overheating at first.

When it first started, and the computer didn't play game i knew for sure it was a software problem,, windows issue or a virus,, but then it was dropped,, started to crash by itself,, so its purely hardware,, i don't think a virus has anything to do with it,, i ran all the scans u could imagine,, and re ran cause it crushes during anything,,

Thanks

Figured the case, first theres a virus infection caused by Chrome,, uninstalled chrome,, can access to apps and actually use them,, computer still freezes,, uninstalled the Nvidia driver then installed the latest driver,, played RE7 60fps without breaking a sweat on heat,, played FC Primal,, same, with lower fps of course,, left the laptop on all night after 7 hours of gameplay, went to work and returned after two days,, and it was froze again....it's the graphics card,, when i disable the Nvidia in the bios and keep the intel GC, best kind,, when i enable the Nvidia it freezes again, the GPU doesn't run hot, so it's not the heatsink or fan,, it was on 61 load, but then shuts down,,, gonna break the laptop down after and diagnose every part just in case,, and post the solution in case someone has the same issue,,
