Hello,

I got a BSOD and my computer's SSD recently failed to be recognized by the BIOS so I bought a new SSD (Samsung 850 EVO mSATA) to install.

I know how to put it in to the computer but that seems to be the simple part unfortunately. My questions are:

1.) Is there anyway to attempt to recover old files from a possibly dead SSD?
2.) How would I go about getting Windows OS on the new SSD I just bought?

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate any input or thought you guys would have!

Solution
1, if the drive is not seen in any computer, you won't be able to recover data from it unless the drive is fixed.

2, you need to use the recovery media from Lenovo to install a new OS on the new drive. If it's Windows 10, you should be able to just download it from Microsoft on another computer and create the installation media.
