Hey,
I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 530 laptop for Uni. I'm doing design so a good quality display is important. At full brightness, the display is nowhere near bright enough even plugged in and on best performance. Not plugged in is worse again because the light sensor dims the display.

Is there any way to replace the display to something better?
Or is there a way to disable the ambient light sensor?

Lenovo advertises this laptop as a creative 2 in 1 but fuck the display is shit.

Cheers

Did you install all drivers from Lenovo?

Did you buy the 530 with HD or FullHD resolution?
  • 14-inch HD (1366 x 768) touchscreen
  • 14-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen
Restart windows

Have a look at this for the ambient sensor ALS:
Open the Lenovo energy management (via the battery touch sensitive button) then click on the gear icon between "i" and "?" and click on smart control tab and uncheck ALS (Ambient Light Sensor)
