I have lenovo z 5170 i7 processor 8gb ram. From last 6 months I was facing low cpu speed (0.48ghz) and I tried every possible means but it didn't worked. I changed ram formatted two times but nothing changed then I started using throttlestop by unselecting BDPROCHOT and it worked my proceesor speed was 2.9ghz but every time I have to open it and I thought it would harm my processor so I stopped using it. But last night I thought of removing the battery and then I removed it and switched it on using adapter only and I can't believed what I saw that my processor speed was 2.81ghz. So this was the whole story but I have a doubt that whether replacing the battery would do the work or I have to check the motherboard too. As I don't have much knowledge of motherboard. Plz help me regarding this.
