My Lenovo z50-75 (amd a10 7300) has a cpu with a maximum cpu temp of 102°(celsius), yet my cpu idle temp is about 80°,when i play simple games it goes up tp 112°!!!!!! That is way over the maximum temp, should i return the laptop or is this normal. The gpu runs at about 60°,is that normal. My laptop hasnt crashed yet. Thanks you.

yes, that is away too hot. If those are the temperatures that are reported by AMD overdrive, and you see the scorch marks on the table or desk you put the computer, you should definitely return it to the place you bought it.

If you had this PC for some time, you can try blowing canned air into the vents to see if there is an accumulation of dust. This usually only works in non-smoking environments, since the tar from cigarette smoke makes a sticky layer that dust sticks to and it cannot be dislodged.

thanks for the reply, the computer is still brand new, ive had it for 5 days, so there shouldnt be any dust in the vents, it still has a warranty. I wonder if i should buy a notebook cooler of something. There arent any scorch marks on the table but the laptop gets hot to the touch, i wonder if maybe one of the fans have failed.
