AS with any watercooling units, be it prefilled(AIO) or custom built, there is always a chance for a fitting to come loose or since we're talking about pump failure's there will always be a failure point in a mechanical method of cooling. In terms of engineering, reduce the number of moving parts(mechanical) and you reduce the number of failure points.
I think one thing you could try and accomplish is contact you reseller or LEPA as well as and see if they will honor their warranty since a large number of them(as said to be 80% by your sources) are failing.
