On a $4200-4500 build should I go for an AMD 2950X + Quadro P5000 or AMD 2990WX + P4000?
Main purpose is architectural rendering 7-10h/daily and no gaming whatsoever

Thanks a ton :)

Hi Logainofhades,
70% of the time rendering using: 40% Lumion, 30% Maxwell, 20% Mental ray, and 10% Iray,;
30% for creating: Auto CAD and Grasshopper

Something like this should destroy anything.. seems the rtx Titan would be the "best possible" but it's $2500 and doesn't really fit your budget

And I know Maxwell likes Ray Tracing cores

Wowww, It took you 3mins to come up with this amazing build
If I go for 2*16gb memory and 1TB 970 evo, I can buy a 31.5'' LG 32ud99 3840*2160, does it make sense?

For memory more is better, but 32gb is nothing to scoff at. As for the 2tb m2 drive I had no idea how much data you carried you would have a better idea than me on it. Can always add either a sata SSD or a high capacity hard drive later if needed

You've been very helpful, Wish I could offer you a cup of tea
Have a great evening :)

32gb would be good, buy you want a 4x8gb setup, with threadripper, as it is a quad channel platform.

Appreciate your help; learned a lot today, I should come here more often :)
