Less real estate on 27" monitor compared to 24"

Hi Everyone,

I recently picked up a 27" monitor to replace one of the two 24" monitors I was using with all having the same resolution of 1920x1080.

One thing that I've noticed is when I use Excel I can see from Cell A1 to AC44 on the 24" monitor, but on the 27", I only see A1 to AC38.

Does anybody know why I would see more on the smaller monitor compared to the bigger one?

I'm not entirely sure but I read that Windows 8.1 and maybe Win10... each monitor connected could have separate DPI scaling numbers. Have you tried looking and verifying that?

also under the video drivers control panel make sure the video set to stretch..fit full screen. also see if the monitor can go higher then your using right now. to get the same size on a larger monitor you may have to use a higher video size.

The computer I'm trying this on is Windows 7 & 1920x1080 is the maximum it's letting me go

OK... gotcha... but for your information.. dpi scaling is totally different from screen resolution... it's a different setting.. but in Windows 7 I think the dpi scaling must be the same on all monitors
