This one is weird and has me stumped. The letter keys on my keyboard will seemingly stop responding after a while. I'm not sure exactly when it happens or if anything triggers it. Most other keys seem to work ok, like the Windows key. But I did notice I can still use things like Ctrl+V or Ctrl+S so they are working to some extent. They just won't type anything. I swapped the keyboard after it happened and the same thing. I tried different drivers and reinstalling drivers and nothing worked. I have to restart my computer to get it working again. I thought a simple driver re-install was all I needed but I have no idea what it's doing. Any ideas?

Solution
usually this is due to some 3rd party software overriding default keyboard commands.
if you have any 3rd party system or gaming optimization software, macro creation tools, or anything outside of basic OS & motherboard control software running disable it.

if it turns out being corruption of whatever OS you may be using you can try their repair tools.
since you don't state any information regarding the system in question, not much advice can be offered.

include a screenshot of Task Manager.
and try running SFC /scannow.
