Lexar 16gb flash drive not working

Hello,
there is a letter assigned to the flash drive but when I click on it or try to transfer files to it I recieve an erro message to insert disk in drive

First thing that I would try is a new USB port, like one on the motherboard back plate.

Then if it still generates an error and there are no important files on it, I would reformat it (using FAT32).

If it is still in warranty, after those things I would get a replacement.

If you have tried the drive in several different USB ports and you get the same message to insert a dsik, you can contact Lexar Support if it is a Lexar drive at www.lexar.com, go to the support link and you can chat with a lexar agent to get support. If your drive is under warranty you should be in place to get a RMA to have the drive replaced.
