Lexmark 4250 Nightmare

I cannot install software that came with Lexmark 4250 printer/fax. It will
not load with the installation CD, keep getting error copying file -
LXBMPMNT.DLL.
Will not load with new hardware wizard, it starts to load to
C:\Windows\System32 and then stops on LEXBCE.DLL and quits responding. I've
downloaded the driver files from Lexmark and still get the same errors.

Can anyone help me,

Have you checked to see if your print spooler is running
before you load the software?

Go to Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, then open
Services, scroll down to the Print Spooler, from there
you can stop and start the service.
Alternatively, you can open the Command Prompt from your
accessories, then type in Net start spooler,or net stop
spooler then hit the enter key. Close the Command prompt
page.
If you havn't already download the cleaner from Lexmark,
please do so, then run it to clear any files it may have
loaded on your pc, you will have to re-boot after that,
then you can re load your set up for the printer, make
sure the spooler is running first though. Good Luck
