I have a lexmark T640 and when I try and print a ~13MB word file (with some pictures) the printer hangs for about 10 seconds after the job has left the queue and then shows a Error 38 memory full. I printed off the menu settings page and the machine has installed and recognizes 64MB of RAM. I don't really understand how a printer works from this part but does it convert the file into some code the printer understands? Also would this conversion take up more space than the 13MB word file?
