Lexmark x215 driver for windows 7

i've installed winows 7..it doesn't support my printer lexmark x 215..i've searched the driver for win 7 .but i could not fint it..how could i run my printer in win 7

Remember to install the driver first, then connect your printer.

I'VE INSTALLED the driver first n later i connected it..the driver is not compatible..i've installed the driver cd that came with printer..is there any driver downloads that is compatible in win 7?

i tried to installed win XP, by formatting the drive i've installed win7 ..the error occured.i could not install win xp..how could i install XP again

Hi

I have got this printer working on my windows 7 machine...

It must be noted that mine is a 64x windows 7 o/s

I downloaded the Vista x64 Driver and installed it,

Then clicked on "Start" (bottom left button) > "Devices and Printers" > Right click on the printer in question (in this case Lexmark x215) > Click on "Printer Properties" > Then click on the "Ports" tab at the top and change the port from LPT1 to USB001 (Virtual Printer Port for USB) > Click apply and the printer should start spooling... (Note: I did not plug the USB cable into the comuter untill all of the above was finished)
