I haven't upgraded my system in about 4-5 years now. I use my computer for gaming but also for work. I mostly play FFXIV, Guild Wars 2, XCOM, FFXV and a few other similar games. For work, I use Photoshop, Premier, and lately 3D sculpting or printing programs. I've noticed that I'm no longer able to be logged into a game, while on another screen working with Magicks or Perfactory RP while playing. It takes awhile to build the EnvisionTec builds for my 3d Printer.
Not quite sure if I'm running into a memory or graphics issues and that is why it starts to tank. I've been meaning to upgrade my Video Card but figured might as well look at building a new system. My current build is something like:
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Intel
Processor: Intel i7-4770K
RAM: 16GB RAM
Video Card: 1GB Nvidia GeForce 560 Ti
Power Supply: Corsair CX750
Hard Drives: Crucial M500 240GB SSD, 2 Western Digital 1TB
Case: Zalman MS800
The other reason to upgrade is that my old computer goes to the wife, her computer to our son, his to my daughter. All in all everyone gets upgrades.
I was looking for a decent computer most likely putting an i7-8700K processor in it. I was looking at a 4GB 1050 Ti video card but open to other options. I'd like to keep it around $1000 but not more than $1500 (if we're including video card at that point). No need for monitors as I already have 2 HDMI monitors already and not including the OS price.
