Hello,

I am trying to find some information on the GPIB Amigo protocol. I have
a HP 1631D, and I am trying to make a simple interface for a
CompactFlash/ MMC cards to GPIB supporting this protocol. Where can I
find detailed information?

Thanks,

Maurice

Just to set your expectations, the AMIGO protocol, and
the later CS/80 and SS/80 protocols, probably were only
distributed in paper form, and not widely. When I was
an hp employee I had copies, but odds are the copies I
left behind are long gone, as all the covered devices
are likely long off support life.

My recollection is that CS/80 and SS/80 were considered
proprietary, but AMIGO documents may have found their
way into customer and IHV (independent hardware vendor)
hands. Certainly there were at one time a number of
suppliers offering non-hp devices on these protocols.

If you just need to extract info from some old floppies,
it's apt to be vastly easier to find someone still
running a host computer w/HP-IB port that could read them.
And no, I have no such systems.
