[LFH] Slow inital/startup load times for everything.

So I will try and explain my problem a little more. So anytime i start something up it takes ages. This happens with everything. So when I open a browser it opens right away but the first webpage I load takes around five minutes other tabs / instances of that browser are instant. When I first open steam I will type in my user info and then it takes a long time to get into steam itself but once I am games load up quickly. This happens for everything, so minecraft takes a while to get me to where I need to type in my username then it takes even longer to get the full game open but once I am in, no lag. I have 56 Mbps Download speed and 13 Mbps Upload speed. This is the only computer in the house doing this, I am not sure what the problem is and thinking about reformatting and configuring my computer.

With the specs you have listed, you should not have a lot of lag as you describe.

What are you using as your storage drive?

What you describe is typical for a mechanical hard drive, but with an SSD, these types of issues do not happen.

I have a 1TB HDD and a 250GB SSD. Should I get a new HDD? Or put like windows on my SSD? I just put games on my SSD for quick loadtimes.

That's the issue. If you put nothing else on your SSD, it should be the OS.

You should also defragment the HDD.
