LG 1440p Help

Hello everyone! I recently purchased a LG-27EA83, This is my first 1440p screen and was just wondering why the text is completely squished or very jagged, Movies, games photos all look perfect its just writing or lettering. I understand this could be from the 1440p resolution but this looks terrible is there anyway to fix it?

are you running it at 2560 x 1440?

Yeah that's actually when the problem arises, When i'm running it at 1920x1080 everything scales fine and looks good. Once I change the res to 2560x1440 everything gets really small and the writing becomes blurred or jagged. I'm not a professional or anything but i do work as a computer technician.

i understand why it would get smaller, but it shouldnt look jagged, unless its just poorly designed.

Oh yeah i totally get why it goes smaller but i have no idea why its getting so jagged and blurry ill screenshot it

i don't think it will show up in a screenshot. if it does, its something with your video card or driver.

I have figured it out. The cable that shipped in box with the monitor was only a single link dvi (Really weird considering they know they need dual link) and was forcing my res to 1280x1440p even tho it was reading at 2560x1440p. So after swapping for one of my own dual link cables everything is working just peachy. Thank you for you help daswilhelm.
