They both have 2ms gtg latency and 300 nits brightness. The Philips has 3500:1 (800:1 real) dynamic brightness and the LG 3000:1 dynamic. So, they are pretty close but as the adage goes the best way to lie is with statistics. Also the Philips is about $30 less but I wouldn't mind spending the extra quids for better image quality.
