Question LG 32" monitor flickering on white and low brightness ?

Hi everyone,
I've been having a problem with my LG 32" monitor: Sporadically, especially after turning the monitor off when away from the computer for a while, when I turn it back on again I see it flickering in the right-low quarter of the display on white pages. It stops when I turn brightness to maximum through F.LUX and it gets worse when lowering the brightness.

What I tried:

• Power cycling the monitor doesn't help.
• I also tried to remove and re-plug the display port cable both on the monitor and the PC.
• I reinstalled the drivers completely.
• I turned power saving on low, high and off, to no avail.

The only thing that comes to my mind at this point is faulty electrolytic capacitor in the monitor or something like that.
What do you guys think?

Sounds like faulty mobo or firmware, have you tried to update the monitor itself not just pc drivers but see if LG has a update for the monitor on their website

Do you have G-sync or VRR turned on? What is the model of your graphics card?

@white.a.drew Apparently there is no firmware update available.
@MagicSakura I have active-sync on but I tried to turn it off and still the issue is there. My graphic card is a MSI GTX Nvidia 1060.

Then it is possible that there is a problem with the monitor's backlight. How long has your monitor been in use?

about 2 years and I use it at least 12 hours a day
