Hello,

I have recently bought LG 32GP850 display.
I have connected it thru Dispay Port and sometimes it loses signal just before loading Windows 10. But when I press reset it usually loads as it should be.
In Windows and games everytrhing works great. Thru HDMI everything work fine as well.
My card GTX 980.
Any ideas why it missing signal and switch off before Windows 10 home screen loads?

PS: My previous problem with this monitor was solved by installing firmware update for DP driver 1.4 from Nvidia.

Ok so you can try unplugging all external devices and restarting your computer. If it boots normally then you may have a problem with one of the external devices. Plug on in at a time and restart the computer unitl you find the offending device. Then reinstall the drivers. Also when the screen goes black you can try using windows key+ctrl+shift+b which will try to restart your graphics drivers.

Thanks...
May the problem be caused by the display port cable? I do use the one which was shipped with the display. But I can buy branded new one. For example, Ugreen or similar...

The problem that after I press reset button, pc usually loads normally and I go to Windows screen. This "lost signal" issue happens randomly...

Ok so check to see if you have fast start enabled in windows. If it is enabled try disabling it. You can try installing newest or fresh set of gpu drivers after uninstalling them first.
I have just did as you said. The same situation...Cold start - black screen just entering in Windows. After hot restart everything works fine and Windows loads. Cold start losing signal.
Fast start settings: disabled, windows key+ctrl+shift+b doesn't respond...Do I need to buy the new DP cable?

You can also try this. Go to control panel, hardware and sound, power options, edit power plan, change advanced power settings, when the box pops up, scroll down to display, click on display, it will say turn off display after, change setting to never, hit apply and see if it works for you on a cold start.

I have looked at your event log. Try this. Go to settings, system, power sleep settings, for screen and sleep change to never, then go over to right of page and click on additional power settings, click on High performance. Then see if the system stops going dark on you after cold boot up.
