Planning on building a new rig this summer(with the release of the new GPU's). I like the LG-34GK950F-B, but I'm wanting to know if there are any upcoming monitors that have similar or better specs? Primary usage is non-competitive gaming and movies. I like great visuals. I'm currently using a Samsung S27B971D and like it a lot. If nothing is releasing within the year I'll probably grab the LG. Thanks for any advice!

Solution
Personally, I'd wait until you have the rig planned out & are ordering parts.
While some monitors are announced long ahead of time, many drop shortly after announcement.

If you're waiting for new GPUs, you're looking at a minimum ~3 months from now. No harm in waiting.
If newer monitors release, you have more options &/or prices may adjust on 'older' models. If not, you're no further behind.

It's not like that LG is on a particularly great sale right now or anything
From price history, it's been available for $799 at various points over the last few months.
