[SOLVED] LG 38GN950 - How to enable Overclock to 160 Hz?

note: This is the LG 38"GN"950 (G-Sync compatible), and not the LG 38"GL"950 (G-Sync).

My friend has this monitor connected vis DisplayPort cable, yet Windows only give her the option of 144 Hz at the 3840 x 1600 resolution. I certain that the 160 Hz Overclock has to be enable on the monitor's OSD, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where it's located in the menu.

One other question: I just wanted to be certain that enabling 160 Hz on this display doesn't use any tricks, such as Chroma Subsampling, resulting in lower resolution or color acuity. Thank you.

Solution
on your monitor go to Settings > Game Adjust -> Overclock, here you can enable it
then you should be able to select 160hz from gpu driver settings

as far i can tell its panel overclock, no tricks
as with any overclock...there might be some side effects
